After F22 update I no longer have a search & launch desktop option. Is this package deprecated, in a certain distribution, or in specific respository?

Edit:- Added an image for folks who don't know what Search & Launch interface was.

After upgrading to Fedora 22, my search and launch desktop is missing.

It's for the KDE desktop. In KDE the desktop can be set to different types of layouts and views of which 'search and launch' was one type. Now I only have the plain desktop view.

Not sure how to mark it as duplicate.

I am unable to find a link for you but there is a good chance that all the old Plasma Workspaces (eg. netbook) have been deprecated in Plasma 5. You may still try to talk to devs at KDE forums.

I'm using the 'merge' feature on it; 1500 karma may be required, but no direct figure when glancing at the threshold settings.

Lost a lot of features I use when upgrading to F22 from F20. Also been having some hardware issues. The developers came back to say they can't do anything about it, some sort of graphics driver issue, but the laptop worked beautifully on F20, so I am a bit confused. F20 in my opniion was near perfect. Considering downgrading back to F20 shortly unfortunately.

Please don't use outdated versions of Fedora. If you want to continue using KDE 4 there is a copr repo for it. https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archi...
