Are you running Fedora, if so close you browser are remove .mozilla folder from you home directory if you use Chrome remove .config/google-chrome that will remove all your mozila and Chrome local installations plugins and such. While I do not know about the TradeAdExchange virus if you download that as pluging on your browser then that is how you can remove it. You may lose your favorites and other custom you make to your browser.

A simple google search on TradeAdExchange brought up a long list of pages offering removal instructions. Have you tried any of them?

Hello, has your problem been solved yet? The steps to remove a browser hijacker are listed as below:

  1. Delete any malicious website URL from your web browser's homepage, startup page, and new tab page field.
  2. Clean the web browser's shortcut.
  3. Remove the startup entry of the browser hijacker from the Windows' registry.
  4. Clear all files, folders and codes related to the browser hijacker.
