How does GNOME Boxes generate its XML file for VM Creation?

How does GNOME Boxes generate XML file so that underline libvirt can make use of it and thus create VM via QEMU, ??

In my humble opinion Gnome Boxes is a software suited to demonstrate virtualization for inexperinced users. It tends to hide a lot of the internal workings from the user and doesn't give them enough choices.

For any real work with virtualization I would recommend using the graphcal tool virt-manager and getting used to the command line tools like virsh, qemu-img etc.
