Hi, I'm trying to install fedora 23, But I'm getting reclaim space error. I have allocated 323G of space for fedora using ext3. My laptop is currently running windows 8.1, This is what I tried. 1. Allocate memory using windows disk manager (I have alloacted 323G). 2. Install fedora, I'm getting reclaim space after selecting reclaim space, I get error checking storage configuration.

Welcome to ask.fedora! Are you trying to install Fedora on a hard drive that currently has Windows on it? If you want to set up dual boot, you're probably best off using Windows to shrink the partition containing your C: drive leaving that space unpartitioned and let anaconda (the Fedora installer) deal with partitioning and formatting it. If not, please edit your question to explain just what your current layout is and how you want it to end up.

OK, those images tell me what you need to do. First, select Custom Partitioning. Then, because you're only able to create 4 primary partitions, you take that free space and put it all in an Extended Partition. Once you've done that, you can create the partitions you need for /, /home and swap (and /boot if you need it) inside the Extended Partition. Personally, I'd make both / and /home ext4 instead of ext3 because it has more features.
