Generally I don't use dnf for install nodejs... reasons? some times different projects needs a new version or a old version; then is a problem for me...

my trick...

nodev=6.9.1
archnode=linux-x64
namearh=x64

wget https://nodejs.org/dist/v$nodev/node-v$nodev-linux-$namearh.tar.xz

tar xJf node-v$nodev-linux-x64.tar.xz -C $HOME

export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/node-v$nodev-$archnode/bin:/usr/bin/

$HOME/node-v$nodev-$archnode/bin/npm install

It is all!

Note

32 bits replace

archnode=linux-x86
namearh=x86

You can change, any version... example:

nodev=5.6.0

Good answer... essentially download from node website and install to usr/local a safe place, with "sudo tar --strip-components 1 -xJvf node-v* -C /usr/local"

UPDATE: nodejs sig provides Node 6 for F23 and F24 look here: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/cop...

On devel mailing list, I read that Fedora decided downgrade Nodejs to 4 , on Fedora 24 but you still got builds of Nodejs 5 on koji , you may download package from there [1] .

From package changelog:
Thu Apr 28 2016 - Version 1:4.4.3-1
- Downgrade to the latest LTS release (4.4.3)

For anyone who wants to install the Fedora maintained Node 6.3 package, you can install Node 6 from rawhide into a Fedora 24 installation with the following:

sudo dnf install -y fedora-repos-rawhide
sudo dnf install -y --enablerepo rawhide nodejs libuv --best --allowerasing

Not enough karma to upvote, but I found this to be the best answer.

Very very bad idea! Do not mix repo versions, this may break Fedora by accident as it may pull incompatible versions of packages.

Thank you all for answers.

I find easy way to install latest version 6.2.0, by using this script

I just change version to v6.2.0 in first variable, then run sudo sh and installed very well.

Just to let you know

Thank you

'sudo' and "update-alternatives"; I Am Sorry but isn't a good idea...
