How to download Fedora to a PC?

I have a PC running Windows 10 right now and I am trying to explore a new operating system. I am a relatively proficient computer user looking for a bit of a challenge, but I'm overwhelmed with sources. It seems that every website I visit has a different method. My knowledge so far is that I have to download the live image to a USB, turn it in to a bootable image, then press f12 after restarting and boot from a USB. But, I don't know where to download the live image, or how to make it bootable. Can someone please walk me through the process?

First of all, thanks so much for the quick response! So I downloaded the file as well as SUSE Studio ImageWriter. Under image, I chose the correct file, but my USB didn't come up when I was trying to insert the copying destination. Does it have to be a certain type of USB? It's already formatted as FAT32 (not sure if that's important) and it's 8 GB.

It should be any kind of USB, 8G is good enought, formated a FAT32 is ok, but you need to set bootable flag on. Do not know SuSe Studio Image Writer but have to assume will work.

How do I set bootable flag on?

You net to set the flag, using a disk utility tool, normally when you format a drive there is an option to do so. As far as I remember on Windows there was that option. Not sure on Windows 10.

Or, in addition, have a look here: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...

An easy way to create a bootable Fedora usb is to use the Fedora Media Writer (aka liveusb-creator). You can find it at https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-crea...

I used that too. But now, it's not anymore raccomended in the official documentation. Instead, they advise to use SUSE Studio ImageWriter. For F24 I followed procedure 3.4. as follows ... https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/... Regards.
