folder in File System

hi, i accidentally deleted a folder in the File System. I just wanted to remove some files there that i put by mistake, but ended up deleting the whole folder. now i cant remove a package that was not installed properly because its looking for the deleted folder in the File System. I hope someone can help...

If you deleted the directory using the "rm" command at the command prompt, there's no quick way to undo or revert that.

What I'd suggest doing is to find out what RPM provides the directory and files you deleted with:

rpm -q --whatprovides <directory>

then reinstall it with

yum reinstall <package name>

Without knowing more about what directories or packages were affected, I can't tell you how extensive the damage might be, so I'll just warn you to tread very lightly with the above.
