Canon Pixma MP160 Scan/Fax/Print not working correctly

asked 2016-07-21 21:23:58 -0500

I have a Canon Pixma MP160 Scan/Fax/Print unit. I have it installed via USB cable under Fedora KDE 24. The Printer driver was correctly detected and installed. A test print page passed correctly. I installed gscan2pdf. When opening gscan2pdf it states there is no device. It seems that the scanning feature is not enabled. How do I enable the scanning feature on this unit under Fedora KDE 24 ?

I have searched for the Canon drivers for this unit on their website and it states there is no driver available and or Fedora 24 has the required drivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
