Could any one help me please. I've installed fedora 16 on my laptop HP ProBook 4530s. All went right but when i reboot at the end it tells me;

Boot Device not found Install operating system on your hard drive ,

when I try to install again it tells me that there is Fedora and if I wanna reinstall or upgrade. What is wrong can any one tell me please?

This looks like a more HP specific Problem than a Fedora Specific issue. Kindly refer to the below link

HP Boot device not found

If you google a bit more on the problem "Boot Device not found Install operating system on your hard drive" you may find many other suggestion for your HP System.

After restoring your HP system back try and re install F16.

You have to avoid using GPT, if you are re-creating the partition table it would use GPT and apparently HP ProBook doesn't like it. It seems anaconda will add a "nogpt" flag. In the meantime you acan use the work-around from: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=752063 Basically, you create an msdos partition table, and tell anaconda to use only the linux partitions. I will not re-create the whole partition table, thus keeping the msdos (non-gpt) table.

same here "Boot Device not found". Quick question, are you installing a 32-bit or 64-bit version? are you installing from the live CD?

It has happened to me too, but it is not a HP problem: I have successful installed OpenSuse 12.1, Mint Debian and Ubuntu 11.10 on my HP ProBook 4530s but only Fedora 16 failed to boot with message: "Boot Device not found Install operating system on your hard drive". Solution for me: use the Win7 DVD, repair partitions and install other linux distribution. :)
