I have a Dell computer with a core 13 intel if that makes any difference. I'm ignorant about this. I use to have a brother printer with another version of linux that worked wonderfully.

Any HP Laser printer will work out of the box with Fedora.

Man, I wish that were true. I've had no end of trouble getting my HP Laserjet P1606dn working with Fedora. Some releases hplip has worked, some it hasn't. Under Fedora 24, the download of the required plugin fails.

Hum, interesting you should fill bugs for those on bugzilla specially if require plugins fail. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/
