is it possible to make these programmes work on fedora ?

Hi is there any way that i can install and run

  • PTC Creo
  • Matlab

its very important for my line of study so it would be nice to have them work on Fedora

the procedure to install it was to simply extract it to some location and then run the bash script provided (i guess It should show a gui to proceed with the install. Also there must be a pdf file in there which describes the procedure. Also make sure to download the linux version only.

Note : that matlab requires the presence of a few libraries, so on the terminal if you see some error messages about missing libraries, then install them from dnf (get the package which provides it by using something like:

 $ dnf [options] provides <provide-spec>

And by the way if you do not need some very specific toolboxes from matlab, you could do most of you stuff using some open source alternative like octave or scilab or even python or free-software-alternatives-to-matlab

I think is a windows based program, your only solution is WINE a windows toolkit to run windows program in linux for more information to see if this kind of program support this pakages, search in this database:

also you can install an run a windows inside a virtual machine like gnome-boxes, virtualbox or vmware an install this packages there.
