Fedora Atomic 25 - Default Root Password ?

Hi

i have installed Fedora Atomic on a AWS EC2 instance.

I can access to the serveur in ssh and login fedora but after, for get root access i don't have the default password

[fedora@ip-172-10-10-10 etc]$ su Password: su: Authentication failure

During the install, didn't it ask you what the root password should be?

Hi Jerome

After ssh login: sudo su (with your own password) then you get a root shell (#) now you can change the password with passwd

Is sudo granted by default? On this Fedora 25 box, it is not. Checking /etc/sudoers, only root and members of wheel are allowed to do anything by sudo

You need to create a cloud-init image with a "password: xxx' entry. This is covered in the Quick Start under "Prep the cloud-init source ISO":
