When pluggin my phone to my computer and setting it as an MTP device, I get this error:

The file or folder udi=/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:13.2/usb2/2-1 does not exist.

The MTP connectivity feature worked 100% in prior versions of Fedora. From 28, it gave this problem

Did a new install of Fedora 28, and my monitor no longer can be selected to change from 1024x768 to 1366x768. On Fedora 27 this worked correctly.

I have tried many suggestions from changing "nomodeset", "UEFI"-stuff to "xandr" and monitor detection routes with no success.

My monitor is an Acer v93HQL and is 1366x768 capable. Regression back to F27 will be painful. Are there perhaps a stepped approach to resolving the screen resolution issue?

Using AMD/Radeon 8570HD graphics card. (Worked on F27, so expecting F28 to retain support for card/screen at least)

2015-12-29 01:34:58 -0500 commented answer Why did Search & Launch KDE desktop disappear in Fedora 22

Lost a lot of features I use when upgrading to F22 from F20. Also been having some hardware issues. The developers came back to say they can't do anything about it, some sort of graphics driver issue, but the laptop worked beautifully on F20, so I am a bit confused. F20 in my opniion was near perfect. Considering downgrading back to F20 shortly unfortunately.

2015-12-22 01:50:17 -0500 commented question How do I get dolphin to search/find files on a smb folder?

As per suggestion, on Fedora 20, I had to add the text eg: "http://192.168.1.1" to the baloo config file. In F22+, the baloo file indexer seems to have this sorted out, however the baloo_file_extractor process consumes high CPU usage until it has to be killed for overheating the system.

After F22 update I no longer have a search & launch desktop option. Is this package deprecated, in a certain distribution, or in specific respository?

Edit:- Added an image for folks who don't know what Search & Launch interface was.

2015-09-19 00:12:39 -0500 asked a question How do I get dolphin to search/find files on a smb folder?

I am using the dolphin file manager and connect to a samba shared folder.eg: smb://192.168.1.1/data

Dolphin has got a file find utility using nepomuk which works fine on your local disks, but it does not work on smb shared folders. When a search is initiated, it starts looking for files on your local machine, and the smb network folder.

Is there a way to look for files on a smb share, using dolphin, or perhaps another tool?

I like dolphin however, and it would be great if the search utility can be fixed, or setup to work on it.

The issue has been resolved eventually with further kernel updates about a few months later.

2014-03-31 04:44:22 -0500 commented question FC20 keeps rebooting intermittently

kernel 3.13.7.200.fc20.x86_64 does not resolve the condition. Fedora 20 can only run on kernel 3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64

A directly compiled kernel also did not resolve the condition

It happened again when updating the kernel to 3.13.6-200.fc20.x86_64, reverting back to 3.11 seems to work, the other 3.13 branches seems to be tainted with as reverting to them also fails. Also it seems to happen only on the 64bit version. The 32bit versions are running fine
