Ant behavior changed after eclipse neon.2 upgrade?

I was running Fedora 25 w/ Eclipse neon.1 and the Ant build worked w/o a problem. Yesterday, a software update moved the installed Eclipse to Neon.2. After the upgrade I had to use the Java runtime environment from the eclipse instance instead of the standard Java 8 JRE and even when it ran, the Ant junit task failed some of the tests for a missing data file. The required data files were copied to their required destination in the same Ant target before the Junit task ran. If I run the ant build from the a terminal command line, it works correctly like it did under neon.1 version of eclipse. Any idea what is different in the Neon.2 Ant support? Is this a bug or am I just missing some necessary change to the project settings?
