Hi,

I found a potential bug, since it is easy to test and since I'm not sure if its maybe a weird configuration error I'd like you - dear reader - to test it. Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open firefox on fedora 25 on gnome.
  2. Create some tabs
  3. Drag one of the tabs to open an new Window
  4. Drag the tab into one of the upper left corner.

After these steps I see a thumbnail of the tab stuck in the left corner, the cursor stays in drag and drop mode and most clicks i do won't work. I can close firefox. Afterwards the system works again. Can someone confirm this?

Thanks for you time.

Yes, I'm getting a "ghost" tumbnail too when the menu form the left corner opens. To make it work again I just pressed the esc key and it just got back into firefox,

Thank you. I haven't really followed the developments of the past years in regards to X11 and Wayland, therefor I didn't even consider it as a source of this behaviour. Is it a known bug? How would you describe it? When I searched fedora/redhat bugzilla I couldn't find any bug. I was looking for things related to gnome and firefox though.

In this moment exist problems in HiDPI; also you can test it...

As davidva already suggested, it is probably Wayland related issue. Are you able to reproduce it in "Gnome on Xorg" session?

Anyways, I would suggest that you open up a bug report regarding this issue in bugzilla so developers can look into it.
