python3 -m venv problem

asked 2017-03-05 06:29:37 -0500

Creating a virtual environment is not working properly on a fresh instal using pyvenv or python3 -m venv. It creates the virtualenv but pip/setuptools doesn't make it to the new environment. python3-setuptools, python3-pip, python3-wheel, python3-devel are installed. What I'm trying to understand is am I missing something or is this a bug? I was able to temporarily work around it by manually download/copying the proper version of setuptools.whl and pip.whl files into the /usr/lib64/python3.5/ensurepip/_bundled directory. Thanks for any assistance...

  1. pip install -U setuptools try it I had one It solved that issue. 2.Downloading and running ez_setup.py also fixes the problem for that conda environment

just give it a try I think it will go.
