Hi guys,

I'm pretty new here, i just been 3 days troubleshooting this server. I never worked with Fedora before :-( So it's not my cup of tea.. With some fsck. command i get the job done the server started now. So i'm in the desktop now while the OS Fedora 5 is started.

How can i fix my file system structure now i'm in Fedora, i can access everything from the desktop? Cause the problems started after a power downage at our customer site with the following error:

fsck.ext3: unable to set superblock flags on /dev/sysvg/ftpuploads

*an error occured during the file system check. *dropping you to a shell ...blablabla

Welcome to ask.fedora! You really have two issues here: not only do you need to get that server running again, but Fedora 5 is over a decade out of date. My suggestion is to see if you can boot from a LiveUSB, or failing that, a LiveCD of some distro that has GParted on it and use that to clean up the file system. If you can't boot from USB, you can get an .iso that will fit on a CD. Once that's done, and your system is working again, I'd really suggest that you back up everything you need and replace that ancient OS with Fedora 25, the latest version right now. Please let us know if you need any more help, or at least tell us how things work out.
