Anybody else having issues with gnome-shell crashing after leaving computer idle for 20+ minutes and coming back to it? I know, issue sounds really weird, but this is exactly how I am experiencing issue.

I am using Acer Swift 3 with intel graphics and no proprietary drivers of any sort on it and this issue started happening in the last week or so. Same issue is also occurring on brothers laptop as well. As he has same laptop I'm not sure if that's something related to some particular component of this laptop or what.

This is model with Intel i5-7200U processor.

Anyhow, below are entries from journalctl from the time of crash:

Exact same problem, and I'm not using an Acer. It's been going on for awhile.

Yeah, I have an Acer Aspire with F25 and this keeps constantly happening.

I have had the same issue for so long! Mine is an intel core i7 HP. Havent found anything online on how to fix it, keep googling to see if something comes up. Mine happens sometimes just after the screen has gone black and i try to log in "in a rush". For me it seems like if i make too many clicks or movements when the screen goes black or my session has been logged out it crashes.

Perhaps this GNOME shell bug is triggered by an extension.

Thus, you can try to disable one after the other and see if the crash still happens.
