Is there a source of older gcc packages for Fedora 25?

asked 2017-04-20 14:09:45 +0000

I am trying to some software that demands a pre-6 version of gcc. (nVidia's CUDA system, to be precise). Is there a source of packaged older versions of gcc? I looked in the standard repositories but all I could find was compat-gcc-34 which gives a version of gcc that's just too old for my needs.

Is there a packaged solution, or do I have to build my own?

There are official GCC repositories on Docker hub, maybe you should consider using those to avoid polluting your system.

It provides branches for versions 4, 5, and 6 of GCC.
