Drag files from desktop to a Files window

I can no longer drag files from the desktop to any windows in Files. Whenever I try, the mouse pointer changes to the little hand pointer, and the trackpad does not respond when moved over the desktop. Also secondary clicking is not working over the desktop. I would like to know how to re-establish previous functionality.

Thank you jlozadad. I update regularly, am now on kernel 4.10.15, Nautilus is 3.22.3. Same behaviour on kernel 4.10.14 however. I can not reproduce the pointer behaviour in a picture (it just shows the desktop wallpaper and the icons). Noted that if I launch Firefox after this strange behaviour happens, Firefox gets stucked as well with the little hand pointer. Files (Nautilus) however continues to respond. If I go to tweak tools and disable show icons on desktop, normal behaviour is re-established.

try launching FF from the command line and see if you notice any errors.

It returns a command not found response

what command did you run? usually just running firefox does the trick.

This seems to be a bug with Wayland sessions, I experience it as well dragging Desktop icons into a Nautilus window.

Seems to be reported already under https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug....

If you have more information to add, please comment on the Bugzilla page above.

you should report the bug in bugzilla https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bugzilla . Wayland still has issues, so if it does not work then try it on xorg.
