boot freezes "Loading initial ramdisk"

This is Fedora 25 running in VirtualBox.

4.9.xx boots fine, 4.11.xx hangs at "Loadining initial ramdisk"

Tried older advice but doesn't seem to work. Editing grub commands doesn't seem to work either - can't get ^D or DEL or backspace to actually delete characters.

Thanks Gulliver

This can be fixed with a Virtualbox configuration update. Go to "Settings", then "System", "Acceleration". Change the "Paravirtualization Interface" property to "Default".
