I am new to linux. I have used Ubuntu for 1 year and thought to try out Fedora. Used Fedora for 2 Months. When F26 was release tried to upgrade from F25. But unable to do so. Tried both the methods - i.e., through software update method - it would download completely but won't restart and upgrade, also using terminal - would download updates but when "sudo dnf system-upgrade reboot" command is executed, I get - "Error: system is not ready for upgrade" Please help me out...

It seems like you are using third-party repositories on your system. Some of your third-party repositories is not ready yet for F26 (example : 'folkswithhats', 'rpmfusion').. You’ll need to temporarily disable these repositories while you make the upgrade, or wait until they are ready / compatible to make the upgrade.

Lets check you repo list via sudo dnf repolist command

Change the selected repo to disable with sudo dnf config-manager --set-disabled <reponame> command, for example sudo dnf config-manager --set-disabled folkswithhats

Do you upgrade command and let see if problem solved.
