GNOME - Laptop freezes after locking

I'm using an Asus UX330UA(8GB DDR4 RAM, i3-7100U, no Nvidia GPU) with Fedora 26 on GNOME Wayland. Everything pretty much works perfectly with 1-2 minor glitches but this one is big.

If I just close my laptop lid and then open it up the laptop sleeps and resumes normally. But the last 2 days when I went for lunch I decided to lock my session instead(the lock button right next to the power button). When I came back I pressed space on the keyboard and nothing happened. I pressed other buttons and they didn't do anything as well. No input was able to wake it up and I had to hold the power button down to reboot.

Is there any place I can check for logs on this? Maybe it doesn't freeze but it just disables all my input? It's really annoying that such a basic thing can force me to reboot.

Until you find a fix you may want to disable hibernation/sleep via the control center. Sorry don't have time to help at the moment.
