Hi All,

How do I check the health and trigger rebuilds of Intel's RSTe ("e" for enterprise) RAID1 from inside Fedora? I can not be doing this from BIOS when this server goes live.

Many thanks, -T

Based on Intel documentation you can get it with a simple cat /proc/mdstat or ls -l /dev/nvme* on the terminal to check status look at the docs here

cat /proc/mdstat worked beautifully. Thank you!

I came up with two beautiful methods:

 # mdadm --detail /dev/md126
/dev/md126:
      Container : /dev/md/imsm0, member 0
     Raid Level : raid1
     Array Size : 1855870976 (1769.90 GiB 1900.41 GB)
  Used Dev Size : 1855871108 (1769.90 GiB 1900.41 GB)
   Raid Devices : 2
  Total Devices : 2

          State : active
 Active Devices : 2
Working Devices : 2
 Failed Devices : 0
  Spare Devices : 0

           UUID : 8a24242c:7643b5eb:b3d1c42a:ce718205
    Number Major Minor RaidDevice State
       1 8 0 0 active sync /dev/sda
       0 8 16 1 active sync /dev/sdb

 # cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid1]
md126 : active raid1 sda[1] sdb[0]
      1855870976 blocks super external:/md127/0 [2/2] [UU]

md127 : inactive sda[1](S) sdb[0](S)
      6306 blocks super external:imsm

unused devices: <none>
