Hello

As a test I tried to install Fedora 26 Security Spin 64bit as a VM. It opened just fine, but when I tried to install it on the VM HDD, Anaconda only showed me 512mb partitions (40x, because I gave it 20gb hdd). I played around with the VM settings, re-downloaded the image from https://labs.fedoraproject.org/securi... and the same thing happened with the new image.

On 32bit installation it worked just fine.

Here is a screenshot of what it looked like: https://ibb.co/j3CtZQ

What could cause this? Time to report a bug or something I'm just missing?

These are 512 Bytes partitions, not 512 MB partitions. Something is off there. Have you tried it with another (virtual) harddisk?

What VM are you using? What settings did you use for the virtual hard drive?

You're right florian, 512bytes not MB, my bad on that. I deleted and created a new virtual HDD on each installation so it would be fresh. Using VMware Player 4.0.6.

Tried to store as a single virtual disk file and to split it into multiple files, nothing changed.

Update: on newest Virtualbox the problem doesn't occur, so it could just be VMware related

As this seems to be more VMware and not Fedora related problem, I will not continue troubleshooting this further here. At least I got 32bit installation to work and that works for me absolutely fine. Thanks florian and Samuel Sieb for your help.
