I'm trying to launch a Fedora 24 instance for the first time using Vagrant, but when Vagrant attempts to download the box it receives an HTTP 404 (File Not Found) error. The URL it is trying to get the box from is:

which redirects to this link which ultimately throws the error:

Any ideas on what the problem is?

Thank you!

Hi, this OLD image has been moved to archive:

Anyway, why are you trying to use such old image? There are fresh ones with Fedora 26:

Thank you, that worked! It's a bummer that the Fedora Project doesn't update Vagrant Cloud when it archives an image.

As for use case, I frequently deal with clients who have no development or test systems and ask me to build software on their live/production systems. In this situation, I'll use vagrant/virtualbox to automate and test the build process before applying to their system. Upgrading their system is usually out of scope for my engagement.

You're welcome. Some redirection would be useful, though this might be deliberate, as an incentive to stay up to date.

Well, at least they're not stuck on windows...
