i need to move a file into my vm

i have a kali os vm using virtual box on my fedora 25 i need to move a video file about 2 gigs from fedora desktop to my kali i tried all what can think of i am stil new to fedora and kali and virtual box :D can someone help me

what have you tried? network share on your host system? what was the problem?

Is the virtual machine on the same network as the host or does is use NAT?

ok so i have tried the shared folder but i could not find the file on the vm so i tried the shared clipboared it did not work and the drag and drop it start copying and there is a progress bar but as it finishes nothing happen

jmt i realy dont understand what you mean but they are all on the same disk drive ???

VirtualBox has the option to add the share from the host system. Have you had any issues with it?

Also, is there particular reason for not using QEMU/KVM (via Gnome Boxes) or virt-manager? Virtual Machine manager has the option to mount Filesystem, so that might be handy for you.
