Wireless Realtek RLT8822BE not working

Hello there,

I have a problem with my mobile wireless chip RLT8822BE by Realtek. I assume it is a driver problem. The command lspci revealed the following information:

Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Device b822

Is there a kernel module I have to enable? Will it be supported in the upcoming Kernel 4.14 and if not how can I contribute?

Thanks in advance

Have a look at https://github.com/rtlwifi-linux/rtlwifi-next

Compile, install and load the module with the following commands:

git clone https://github.com/rtlwifi-linux/rtlwifi-next
cd rtlwifi-next
make
sudo make install
sudo modprobe rtl8822be

Does it work?

Thanks a lot!

The main repo at https://github.com/rtlwifi-linux/rtlw... did not compile. I used https://github.com/synthtc/rtlwifi-next which was one commit ahead and compiled.

Now Fedora recognizes the wireless device. I can also list the networks around me. Unfortunately connecting to any wireless network fails.

Edit: Doing lsmod shows
