I was trying to use Pastebinit but I don't get a correct URL output, should I file a bug on this?

[user@localhost ~]$ pastebinit pkr.c
https://paste.fedoraproject.org/

It did work with Ubuntu's pastebin

[user@localhost ~]$ pastebinit -b http://paste.ubuntu.com pkr.c
http://paste.ubuntu.com/25961431/

I tried aupplying the pastebin manually

pastebinit -b https://paste.fedoraproject.org/ pkr.c
Unknown website, please post a bugreport to request this pastebin to be added (https://paste.fedoraproject.org/)

Thanks in advance

If you think you have used the command correctly (verify using man pastebinit ) and the result doesn't seem right, of course, file a bug. https://bugs.launchpad.net/pastebinit

It would be helpful to post your command so that someone can check whether it should work...

Hi, This is how I use it, your mileage can vary...

script /tmp/dummy.txt
do things
exit
pastebin /tmp/dummy.txt
Uploading (2.9KiB)...
https://paste.fedoraproject.org/paste/LsJbhJ40hInEH4yKZRQrd

Works OK on Fedora 27,

Cheers, Casep

Did you mean to redirect output to the text file? as in script > /tmp/dummy/txt

Sorry, I've just realised you're using pastebinit, not pastebin (pastebin is deployed with a default Fedora install, I needed to install pastebinit). Have you tried using pastebin instead of pastebinit? Looks like pastebinit has some communication/authentication issues with the default servers (about script, no, it is not a redirect, that's the way that command works) Cheers

Looking at some of the issues reported with pastebinit ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/pastebinit... ) there are some issues with the configurations deployed with pastebinit. As pastebin is installed and working with FEdora looks like it's worth using it. Cheers
