Hello, I am new to Linux fedora, I have it installed on an external SSD and it was working fine until I got a new gpu and monitor, now i get "Out of range" on my monitor.

I was told to add nomodeset, can anyone please explain how to do this? Thanks

When you're booting the computer, interrupt GRUB startup and on selected (latest) kernel entry press

e

This will edit the GRUB configuration temporarily. Append

nomodeset

to the line starting with

linux...

Then press

CTRL+x

To boot accordingly to that config. To have that set up permanently, you'll need to update your grub configuration and regenerate it.
