Fedora 27 does not boot anymore

I recently updated Fedora 26 to 27 and I had no issues. However, when I turned on my computer today, I could not boot to fedora. Instead, a blue screen showed up, as reported in the picture. If I press the key and try to boot, it says to reboot and select a proper boot device.

I did not install anything fancy, so I do not understand how can the grub be damaged. Can someone help me? Do I need a live usb to fix this?

I have exactly the same issue. I think it is related to UEFI and secure boot. When I select the EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi file in the UEFI boot settings, it still does not boot.

All upgrades before 27 were without problems...

If you don't have enough karma to upload image here, use some external hosting and add link in question.

Live USB will certainly be useful, you can reinstall grub or check SMART with it. Check UEFI setting, maybe they've been reset.

Same. Just did the upgrade. I double checked that secure boot was off in my BIOS. I am able to get into FC27 by choosing the grubx64.efi. If I choose BOOTX64.EFI, it complains that there is no OS installed. It goes by so quickly I cannot read the full error. Possibly there is something wrong in the shim package.

UPDATE: I resolved the issue by removing shim-x64-13-0.7.x8664 and installing the older one from fc26 shim-0.8-10.x8664. Now it boots right up.

But how could you do that? Can I downgrade this shim to 0.8 if I installed Fedora 27 on clean HDD or I should firstly install FC25, then freeze shim and upgrade to FC27?
