Firefox 57 (Fedora 27) not remembering my passwords

Since I installed Fedora 27 with a clean install and updated everything to the latest version Firefox won't save my passwords for site logins.

I am on Firefox 57.0.4, but it was the same with the earlier versions of 57 too.

All the sites that used to work now don't. My login name is remembered, but the password is always blank.

I have it set correctly in preferences "Remember logins and passwords for web sites", and I have tried with all extensions disabled and a restart. This is super annoying!

When I click to remember the login, it accepts it, but when I go to look at saved logins there is nothing there.

Try rolling back to a previous version of Firefox and tell us how that goes. I doubt this is a Fedora issue; rather, it seems more like a Firefox bug.

Maybe something went haywire when you updated? What happens when you try to save a new password (e.g resave it)?

I doubt that this issue is Fedora specific, so there's a good chance that nobody here will be able to help you. You'll probably be better served by going over to Firefox Support, creating an account if you don't already have one, and asking there. Good luck, and if you do find out the answer, please post it here for others to learn from.
