I'm running Fedora 27 on a Lenovo P51 with a Nvidia Quadro M2200. Latest drivers (390.x) are installed and the internal gpu (Intel) is disabled. When using an external monitor running at 1900x1200 everything is "snappy" and fluid. Switching to the laptops internal 4k monitor however sees an immediate drop in performance. Everything feels "sluggish", even scrolling in Firefox is affected.

Scaling is enabled and set to 200% for the internal monitor. I have not done any other modifications or troubleshooting as I'm not sure where to start. I have however tested the system with 2x 4k monitors (internal and external via DP) on Win 10 without any performance issues, so the hardware is more than capable.
