asked 2018-03-13 08:41:18 -0500

I'm download Fedora 27 Server.iso and use it. I want to change my server resolution. how to change the resolution in Server terminal? It is possible? I think text mode doesn't need a graphic card, so can't do that. Right? Can you help me?

You can try to change console font size in /etc/vconsole.conf or edit variable GRUBCMDLINELINUX in /etc/default/grub

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd vconsole.font=latarcyrheb-sun16 $([ -x /usr/sbin

You can find console fonts in /lib/kbd/consolefonts/

For example, I want to change the resolution to 1920x1280, what can I exactly change in /etc/default/grup?

On my system I add "GRUB_GFXMODE=1280x720" on a new line, and "video=1280x720" to the end of GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX

If it works for you depends on your video driver, and possibly also your display device (monitor).

1920x1280 gives way too small letters for me.

If you use text mode on server you can change font size in /etc/default/grup, not resolution. If you use grafical mode on server you need seek settings in graphic shell. Sorry for my english.
