How was it connected? Did you unmount it before disconnecting?

I have exact the same problem. Tried it with two different disks in a Ewent EW7015 s-ata to usb3 dock.

I already tried to use a previous version of the kernel, and it doesn't work either. I have a PC with Fc 27, it works perfectly well there. I have tested 4 hard disks, on ports 2.0 and 3.0, and it does the same thing, two adata hard disks of 2tb, and seagate of 4tb, and one of 500gb toshiba, but it is the same problem. I don't know what the mistake is, in bugzilla I didn't find anything related to this problem, I posted it in plus, and they tell me that there are also others who have the same problem.

This morning my FC27 workstation crashed as well during shortly after powering-off an attached disk. In this case it was a regular WD SATA disk connected to an Anker SATA-to-USB3 adapter. On next boot, I got a problem report in the (4.16-9-200.fc27.x86_64) kernel-core, but the backtrace does not contain any meaningful functional frames to have it be reported.
