Setting the time from a GUI

I'm travelling to a different timezone, but the only GUI program I have is system-config-date. That turns off setting the time over the network because it only understands ntp, which isn't used any more. Suggestions?

what DE are you running, each one has a specific method for clock adjustment.

Xfce, which does not have a GUI method for that. (I've checked.)

What do you mean ntp isn't used any more?

Probably that Fedora uses chrony by default. However, you can still use ntp.

And it has to be GUI?

Chrony as well as systemd-timesyncd both implements ntp.

system-config-date-1.10.9-2.1.noarch from Rpm Sphere seems to work with both ntpd and chrony. Use at your own risk as it is not an official approved fedora package.

Thanx, but I'm not interested in building from source. I'm looking for something that a novice (such as my sister) can install with minimal instructions. Still +1 Good Try.

You'll find the installable rpm

system-config-date-1.10.9-2.1.noarch.rpm

as well as source rpm

system-config-date-1.10.9-2.1.src.rpm

Thank you, although a link would have been appreciated. As long as it works with chrony, my friends who won't use a CLI will be happy.

I just tried using it. It wouldn't accept changes unless I either gave it an ntp server or disabled ntp. Not sure if the latter's safe.
