This is not a question. I have seen all the questions that include issues for users can be seen with lot of answers but if one were to ask a question related to developing custom kernel, etc., no one is able to answer that. That means people here are just giving answers by doing a Google search or copying. Less people have system knowledge, so I will not going to use this site any more.

I find it useless because I believe with such people it is a waste of time; rather than this, time is better spent directly communicating with developers using their pages, Github wiki or similar resources.

asked to remove the account ...

Thanks. Good bye.

@hello; wow that's a lot of editing. not worth correcting all the mistakes in such an offensive question (that is not even a question). Here is OP's text as initially posted

user @nisankh is not removing the account, he his happily answering questions. So, let's close this question since

1.) it is offensive 2.) it is not a question

People here are all volunteers, users and fans of Fedora and free software in general, from all walks of life. This is not a customer service, people do what thay can in their spare time. Asking general questions like building a custom kernel in a forum like this is not a good idea in the first place, even if such questions are sometime kindly answered here. My suggestion is to install one of the many irc clients incuded on Fedora and connect to freenode. There are more technically skilled people over there (for example in #fedora) who are willing to help. If you ask politely...

+1 to fcomida, and to OP you should post in, if you want help with a custom kernel. We have enough issues with the "stable" kernel, that trying to solve custom kernel problems, with little to no information provided as to how it was compiled, or what features were included, then to get annoyed that no one jumped on it immediately, is just childish.

There's a couple of things that you're missing here, of which fcomida pointed out a couple. To add to his answer, I would say that we're not necessarily all trained veterans at using Linux or Fedora. We don't all necessarily know the ins-and-outs of the Linux. That said, we can try and help you out by diagnosing your issues based on our own experiences and what we've read/seen.

The entire point of this forum is to resolve issues that you have that others may have had or have currently. We're not full time developers or all Linux experts, just end users that are fairly passionate or at least enough to help in some way to contribute to the community.

Less people have system knowledge because we all have other lives to lead. I devote a lot of time to Linux and Fedora, but I am still not a developer and while some on this forum are certainly educated about the ins-and-outs of Fedora, a lot aren't. That's fine. This is a forum on an open-source community, not an enterprise level job. I see plenty of questions that get answered by people sharing similar issues (e.g. sound not working with a specific wireless card answered by someone with the same card, grub issues by those who had the same issue).

Your questions, posted on May 12, was somewhat vague and answered using a simple Google search. Although I'm not familiar at all with the subject material of your question, it does not seem related to Fedora (though I could be wrong).

That said, I don't mean to demean you in any way, but I hope you understand the purpose of this website. I appreciate your feedback and you are right in saying that this community is not as active as it could be, but expecting simply passionate users of an operating system how to get a custom kernel going is a tad ambitious.

As fcomida said, go take a look elsewhere and perhaps you will find something that will help you a little bit more.

Some websites that could help:

All 3 of these have really smart, specialized people who know the Linux inside out. You may have better luck there.

Hope that helps.
