Unfortunately, all that shows is the box, nothing useful. Can you use ctrl-alt-f2 to get to a console tty, login as root, and run journalctl -b -1 to see the last boot results? What video card, and driver are you using. is the black box after you boot, or while working after you have been logged in? if you type your user password, and press enter, while the box is present, does it complete the login process?

Excuse me. I have raised again my issue. This small black square appears after I log in and not always it appears. My laptop has got these video cards:

lspci -nnv | grep VGA:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0046] (rev 02) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Park [Mobility Radeon HD 5430/5450/5470] [1002:68e0] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

I use the intel card. I'm not never able to configure the AMD video card. I hope to be enough explicit.

how long after you login, before you see the black box. Can you make it go away by clicking on the small square below the box? if you press ctrl-alt-f2 do you get a tty console to log in. if so, log in as root, and run lsmod to see what is loading. you could be seeing a message box from a module or program and the desktop is using the box to try to notify you.
