Something went wrong with the video hardware acceleration

When trying to run the cinnamon flavor of fedora in virtualbox with 3 GB of ram and 2 cores, I got a error massage saying that it is running without video hardware acceleration and that it is going to have more CPU usage than normal. Link to a picture on what to error message said. I tried ignoring the error message until I found out the the vm will crash if I open up anything else than the start menu. After poking around I found out that, when the vm was starting up, something called "Hardware Monitoring Sensors" failed to start. Link to a youtube video on what was happening during the live session. 1:12 was the timestamp when the Hardware Monitoring Sensors failed Any help you can give?

Hardware Monitoring .....sensor....lm-sensors daemon or program Fedora29S KDE System

**Virtualbox System -- Video Acceleration / 3Dimmension and 2Dimmension Select but 2Dimmension choose some error in Error display...Just choose 3Dimmension Acceleration's a posted in youtube show lm_sensor failed with in running initial boot process. so, i'm check to lm_sensor for install.

A. check.install lm_sensors

B. install lm_sensors

 # dnf -y install lm_sensors*
Probing for `Analog Devices ADT7462'... No
 Probing for `SMSC EMC1072'... No
 Probing for `SMSC EMC1073'... No
 Probing for `SMSC EMC1074'... No

# sensors-detect

Now follows a summary of the probes I have just done. Just press ENTER to continue:

Driver `coretemp':

 * Chip `Intel digital thermal sensor' (confidence: 9)

Do you want to overwrite /etc/sysconfig/lm_sensors? (YES/no): Unloading i2c-dev... OK

C. lm_sensors status check via systemctl

 # systemctl status lm_sensors
 โ— lm_sensors.service - Hardware Monitoring Sensors
Loaded:loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/lm_sensors.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
Active: active (exited) since Sun 2018-12-02 03:36:39 KST; 2min 39s ago
 Process: 6118 ExecStart=/usr/bin/sensors -s (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
 Process: 6113 ExecStart=/usr/libexec/lm_sensors/lm_sensors-modprobe-wrapper $BUS_MODULES
 $HWMON_MODULES (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
 Main PID: 6118 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)

Sorry, but I am kind of new to Linux and I don't know what you are trying to say.

I think...first install basic terminal and extend your system for gui a cinnamon, gnome, kde. fedora 29s ...i'm already test with centos7.5...and i'm running fedora29s....KDE System...very stable. so, whart is a your base operating system.....? Virtualbox Stable runnning my system, but choose video Acceleration automatic choose 2d and 3d check user select invert to 3d acceleration.

another method, virtualbox upgrade and first install fedora terminal server like a fedora29 server. i'll help you....friend.

dnf -y group install "KDE Plasma Workspaces"

Hi. Sorry but I been a little busy. I just downloaded VMware and tried fedora on it and the error message did not popup. After poking around a bit to see if fedora will crash, I found out cinnamon is a pretty good Linux flavor. Feodra also didn't crash. My base operating system is Windows 10 but, I am looking for a alternative since Windows is a pretty bad OS because of the file deleting bug and the fact that it only allows you to use 80% of you WiFi. That is why I am testing fedora by the way.

I'm using a virtualbox. it's a compatible and support almost os, all so MS-Windows System. MS Windows...Support Video Acceleration wiht a virtualbox but Fedora system is more efficient that MS-windows System. I'm already test...with a virtualbox - Fedora29 Cinnamon.

it's a soft rendering...problem show to me, so cinnamon's did and report other users.cinnmon's problem!

use KDE or Other GUI System like a mate,,gnome. this' report system Fedora 29s KDE.....ThinkPad...good support all show that error.!!
