How to fix a hardware issue?

Hello,

How i can fix this hardware issue:

nouveau 0000:01:00.0: i2c: aux 0004: begin idle timeout ffffffff

. I have fedora 29. I have those graphic cards:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 630 (rev 04)

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP106M [GeForce GTX 1060 Mobile] (rev a1)

remove nouveau and go with an nvidia driver. The nvidia drivers should support optimus, allowing to you select which display to use.

yes, that is a very good guide, that is what i used the first time, to setup my nvidia drivers.

After I'm following that guide I'm getting:

Ok Started GNOME Display Manager.

And the notebook is not starting. Don't do anything.

can you go to tty2 with Ctrl-Alt-F2 and login as root? if so, then run and post dmesg output here. sounds like the integrated video may be causing problems with the nvidia card.
