Line 4 is corrupt: Missing '=' at line 4

Use nano if you’re not familiar with vim

Hello

The content should be something like:

[main]
gpgcheck=1
installonly_limit=5
clean_requirements_on_remove=True

The line '/bin/bash: q: command not found', if really presents, is like you had some trouble using vi.

interesting...all this was written during an upgrade from 28 to 29.. I have only managed to boot it twice and that was after issues...I'll replace mine with what you have suggested and see if that works..Thanks

OK..so replaced the dnf.conf with what you suggested and it works.. ( and yeas, I know how to use vi so was not my error ) - However, now dnf update shows like this...First time I ever seen this

Sorry if my comment on vi was misleading ! And wowww, I've discovered it too now, thanks to your comment. It's present in /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-cisco-openh264.repo. It has been added by fedora-repos-29-2.noarch : Fedora package repositories ! I will go and have some findings.
