ZFS doesn´t work on fedora 29 ... ?!

there is the foolowing error:

The ZFS modules are not loaded. Try running '/sbin/modprobe zfs' as root to load them. [root@fedora max]# /sbin/modprobe zfs modprobe: FATAL: Module zfs not found in directory /lib/modules/4.20.7-200.fc29.x86_64 [root@fedora max]#

What can I do in this case? Thanks and greetings, Max.

This is a known issue in ZoL and is related to a incompatibility with kernel 4.20. ZFS 0.7.13 will have kernel 4.20 support included.

There are several workarounds, one would be to install kernel 4.19. Another would be to patch ZFS 0.7.12 manually, which seems a bit more adventurous.
