I recently upgraded my ASL lab Marquis C528-T to Fedora 18. I got off of their supplied repositories when I wanted to upgrade to Fedora 17 early due to a bug in glibc. Anyway, after the upgrade no devices are working when connected to either of the USB3 ports. The same devices (mouse, keyboard, usb2 hub, HD USB3 and USB2) work fine on USB2 ports. I tried tailing /var/log/messages to see what happens when I plug a device into the port but nothing happens. Am I the only one?

I am experiencing similar problems.

I have a USB 3.0 external HUB. When I put my USB 1.0 or 2.0 devices in it does not work. I don't have any USB 3.0 devices yet! I bought the hub when I upgraded my desktop last year, I thought it best to buy USB 3.0 just in case.

Crazy through it may sound, I have a Canon Lide 500F scanner this gives no problems. This does not work with Linux (Why did I buy it? I am a fool for a nice box). But running VirtualBox and passing the USB device over to Windows (I have a license for work) and it works.

Like you I Can find no problems in messages or dmesg.

The only similar problem I can find on bugzilla is

Bug 907254 - Cannon DSLR USB 3.0 Error
