How to adjust touchpad sensitivity?

I'm using a multi-touch touchpad on a ThinkPad E430, in Fedora 18.

System Settings has an option to adjust touchpad pointer speed, but no matter what I set the slider to it stays in the middle, at the same speed.

How can I fix this?

The synclient command has lots of parms to control the touchpad. You may need to add that command with the right parm to your startup process.
