In CentOS 5 and 6 and Ubuntu 12.04, I was able to use dhclient configuration similar to the following to update DNS dynamically:

supersede domain-name "<domain>";
supersede domain-name-servers <server>;
supersede host-name "<hostname>.<domain>";

send host-name "<hostname>.<domain>";
send fqdn.fqdn "<hostname>.<domain>.";

send fqdn.encoded off;
send fqdn.server-update off;

However in Fedora, this configuration (although added by NetworkManager) is ignored. Is there another way to do this kind of update?
