Yes, you probably want to install the Flash plugin for Firefox to view videos.

  1. Direct your browser to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
  2. In the menu titled "Select version to download...", select the "YUM for Linux" option.
  3. You should see a button appear with the text "Download Now". Click on the button.
  4. You should be prompted to install a RPM package with a name like adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm. Click OK.
  5. You will have to enter your password to install this RPM package.
  6. After this package has been installed, start a Terminal.
  7. At the command line in the Terminal, enter the command "sudo yum -y install flash-plugin".
  8. You will be prompted to enter your password.
  9. Restart Firefox.
  10. Direct the browser to youtube.com and watch a video.

Alternatively, you can install the Chromium browser which comes with a Flash player. See the instructions at the following URL for installing Chromium.
