I have an issue with LCD display going to sleep: When I lock the display, I see the display displaying the message "Entering power save mode". Then the display turns off, but immediately turns back on, next the message "Entering power save mode" is displayed again. It goes like this forever.

I'd like to debug this, I tried looking at pm-powersave.log, but that file is empty. Any ideas where to look? I don't see anything of interest in dmesg nor in /var/log/messages.

Okay. I understand your problem. If you use windows 7 then follow this instruction. To solve this problem first go to your control panel > power option > Choose when to turn off the display > and select the time as you wish. I hope if you follow this instruction then you can prevent of your flat screen tv sleeping problem.
