I have tried downloading audacity and its says wait in queue for 2 hrs.. then i shutdown and then restart and try a search in yum and it says wait in queue. Im trying to just install regular programs . like thunderbird audacous audacidy and few others that everybody uses. so its simple installs. i installed vmbox on fedora 19 and it works fine after i downloaded it from the site, same with skype. its just yum or something

seems like something is stuck, maybe a reset of the yum cache will help: yum clean all

This had no effect in my case. Also, I don't understand why this should help. PackageKit is not yum, and, even if there is some connective hooks, which sounds vaguely right, it's not clear why deleting cache would help this problem.

Just wait.

In my case, Fedora/GNOME Software popped up 15 minutes after I closed it because it was unresponsive. I came here looking for a way to find out what PackageKit was doing, and I still don't know that, but the "solution" was to do nothing in my case.

This has absolutely nothing whatever to do with the original question, which was asked and answered almost three years ago. Closing.
