You should file a bug on Bugzilla for Fedora, vmware product.

Hi there!
This problem was reported in the VMWare Community, and there's already a patch. My karma is too low to post links, but check in communities dot vmware dot com slash thread slash 457010 for more details, and also ubuntuforums dot org slash showthread dot php?t= 2184195 for instructions to patch manually.
I just can't tell if this patch was committed to the latest VMWare stable release. The release notes for 6.0.1 don't mention this fix.
I didn't test it because I just learned about open-vm-tools, which is also official, though not supported. open-vm-tools has almost everything, except for some experimental drivers and such.

EDIT: I updated to 6.0.1, and the error is gone. Good news!

Best regards,
Emerson

The error really doesn't matter, unless your REALLY want to directly share a filesystem between the host and guest.

Good first step with the bugzilla... but it is probably more an issue that the tools aren't ready for some change in the kernel. Do you have the latest vmware-tools possible? I know you said it was workstation 10, but new tools might still be available.
