Upgrade 17 to 20 with RAID

asked 2013-12-24 22:09:36 +0000

Unable to upgrade Fedora 17 to 20 using FedUp 0.7.3 (in the Fed 17 repositories).

/boot and /altboot are in non-mirrored partitions on two discs, / (root), /home, swap, and /var are in mirrored partitions. Using software RAID and LVM.

Other posts indicate that fedup 0.8 is recommended, but that is in later repositories.

About to either yum-update 17 to 18, and hopefully 18 to 20 with fedup.

Any other suggestions?

FWIW, upgraded Fed 18 to 20 on much simpler system and all went perfectly.

You can not upgrade from Fedora 18 to Fedora 20.

If you're upgrading from Fedora 18, you'll need to pass --nogpgcheck. See the Common Bugs page for all the details.

I think you meant from Fedora 17 to Fedora 20. I did use fedup from F17 to F18 and all went well. However, F18 to 20 not as well. Will explain in separate message.
